Manhattan, Dorian’s original starting point for flowers, is a 2 hour trip from Olyphant, nothing short of some Jersey traffic, but the mental leap to NYC is instantaneous and unmistakable when it comes to flowers and design.

Designing since 1996 in Manhattan’s legendary locations, Dorian has packed up his blooms and tools and settled in North East PA to design for a true hometown.

The story began with his continuous exposure to Manhattan’s luxury world of flowers. Bringing his designs to films and Broadway, to penthouses on Park Avenue, to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, to Windows on the World and to Lincoln Center.

Dorian has experienced the ever important world of corporate flower events.  Again, design and quality remain at the forefront of his work here, but economics and firm customer reaction are fundamentals for the design concept to succeed. High-end, refined arrangements, unsurpassed beauty and customer satisfaction are the hallmarks of his work.Receiving degrees in Art and Visual Thinking, Dorian’s ability to comprehend color and spatial relations sets him apart from the average florist.  His expertise and affinity for flowers add to the tender care he provides to enhance each flower’s sustainability and beauty.

“I strongly believe that designing flowers is an art, knowing how to manipulate a stem or work with the natural curves of a flower together with their pallets is an art, not to be confused with the paint by number design we all too often find in the typical florist.”

While Dorian has traveled the highest end floral design spheres of NYC, he is still immersed with his family and friends.  He travels a more personal journey in design. He take great pride and joy in designing flowers of the highest end for his friends and family, people with real budgets for their weddings, christenings and funerals and the long list of moments in life where flowers express feelings.  “There is great emotion in these moments of life and often times these feelings are expressed in very special flower designs.”
